Too Good To Go: the name says it all. Food ends up in the garbage can far too often. This affects private households, restaurants, retailers and manufacturers. According to the Federal Center for Nutrition, 12 million tons of food waste are generated annually in Germany. This alarming number has to be reduced and everybody can help!
An app against foodwaste
With Too Good To Go, private individuals can conveniently buy food via smartphone that would otherwise end up in the bin. The app is a unique interface between restaurateurs, producers and consumers.
The purchase process by mobile phone is easy: simply search for offers nearby and pick them up at a reduced price. Gastronomic companies pack so-called “surprise bags”, in which various foods and dishes can be found, which were not sold during the day.
Breitsamer honey via app
Offers from producers and manufacturers have so far been an exception on the platform. We at Breitsamer honey decided very quickly to work with Too Good To Go in Munich.
Offers from producers and manufacturers have so far been an exception on the platform. We at Breitsamer honey decided very quickly to work with Too Good To Go in Munich. Even if honey has an almost unlimited shelf life, each jar must be labeled with a legally prescribed expiry date. Therefore it can happen that we have honeys in the warehouse that can no longer be sold through the trade. The quality is of course perfectly fine. We offer these honeys at a greatly reduced price on Too Good To Go.
Unfortunately, this offer has to be dispensed with in the current Corona period. However, we hope that we will be available again with our honeys soon.
The cooperation with Too Good To Go gives us the opportunity to lower our food waste and to inspire Munich honey lovers for Breitsamer honey.
