The Dr. Silvius Wodarz Foundation has chosen the Common Robinia as tree of the year. We are particularly pleased about this, as it is one of the most important plants for bees in the early summer. Its white flowers have an intense bergamot scent and attract thousands of bees.
The foundation wants to draw attention to the polarizing characteristics of the Robinia with its election. As it grows very quickly, it can be used for rapid planting. On the other hand, it overgrows other plants with its rapid growth.
